Questions, answered.
Everything worth knowing before you install, in plain language. If your question isn’t here, the Support page will put you in front of a real person.
It scans your whole WordPress site against 46 SEO checks, shows every problem it finds in plain language, and when you want, writes the fix for you. That last part is the difference. Most SEO plugins tell you what’s wrong and stop there. This one corrects it: meta descriptions, alt text, schema, headings, broken links and more. Nothing changes until you preview it and approve it.
WordPress 6.5 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer, which most modern hosts already run, plus administrator access. That’s everything you need for scanning. To have the AI write fixes, you add your own Anthropic key, covered further down.
No. If you can install a WordPress plugin, you can use this. A setup wizard walks you through everything on first run, and every issue is explained in everyday words with a clear next step. There’s no code to write and nothing to configure in files.
Yes. The free plan scans your entire site and shows every issue, with no time limit and no card. It also includes thirty AI-written fixes so you can judge the output on your own pages. After that you either keep fixing by hand for free, or move to a paid plan for unlimited AI fixes.
Bring your own key. Instead of us buying AI in bulk and reselling it with a markup, you connect your own Anthropic key and the charges land directly on your Anthropic account. You pay the real cost, we never touch your AI billing, and there’s no middleman inflating the price. It’s the most honest way to price an AI tool, and it usually works out far cheaper.
Roughly a cent per fix as a guide, so five dollars of credit covers about five hundred fixes. Your exact cost depends on content length and which Claude model you pick, so the plugin shows an estimate before you spend anything and a Costs page tracks every penny. For most sites, a full scan plus a batch of fixes lands in the low single-digit cents.
About two minutes. The plugin gives you a short checklist with direct links: open the Anthropic Console, add a little credit, create a key. You paste it in once and click connect. The whole flow is built in, so you never have to hunt around Anthropic’s settings on your own.
Your key is stored on your own site, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your WordPress salts, and never sent to seomerlin.com. AI requests go straight from your server to Anthropic. Once saved, the key is never shown back to you: the settings endpoint returns only whether one exists, and you can remove it at any time.
Anthropic’s Claude, chosen for the quality and reliability of its writing. You bring a Claude key and the plugin handles the rest.
Every paid plan includes every feature: unlimited AI fixes, the full scan, rank tracking, AI visibility, reports, all of it. The only things that change between tiers are how many sites you can use it on and the support level: Pro covers one site, Freelancer five, Agency ten. Nothing is locked behind a higher tier. Current prices are on the Pricing page.
Paid plans are billed yearly and renew automatically so your protection never lapses. Cancel any time from your account and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. The plugin keeps working after that: you simply stop receiving updates and new AI fixes until you renew.
Nothing you’ve already fixed is undone. Every change stays exactly as it is, because it lives in your own content. Downgrading only affects what you can do next, such as running new AI fixes, not the improvements already applied.
No, and that’s deliberate. The plan price is for the software. AI usage is billed separately by Anthropic, directly to you, at their real rates with no markup. It keeps the software price low and honest, and means you only pay for the AI you actually use, usually a few cents.
The free edition is the trial, so once the premium plugin is downloaded the sale is final. There are cases where we will refund: if it genuinely doesn’t work on your site and we can’t fix it, or if you were charged twice. Full details are in the Refund Policy.
Never. Every fix follows the same path: preview, approve, apply. You see exactly what will change, side by side with what you have now, and nothing is written until you tick it and click apply. You can edit any proposed change or leave it out entirely. What gets saved is exactly what you approved.
Almost always. Before writing anything, the rollback record is saved first, so most fixes reverse in a couple of clicks. If you edited a page yourself after a fix, the rollback protects your later work rather than overwriting it. The one thing that can’t be undone is submitting a page to search engines for indexing: that message is already out in the world.
No. The AI can only work with what’s genuinely on your page. It’s blocked from inventing statistics, quotes or sources, and if it can’t ground a fix in something real on your site it leaves that page alone rather than fabricating. The gate is a function in the code, not an instruction in a prompt, and cited URLs get an HTTP check before they’re proposed.
Google’s guidance is that it rewards helpful, high-quality content regardless of how it’s produced, and penalises low-effort spam. This is built for the former: grounded, accurate improvements to your existing content, which you review before publishing. Because you approve every change, you stay in control of quality, exactly as Google expects.
No. There are adapters for Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress and The SEO Framework. Writes land in your existing plugin’s own meta fields rather than a parallel set, schema is skipped where your plugin already emits it, and conflicts are flagged when two plugins disagree. You don’t have to switch away from something you already trust.
Yes. Products are treated as first-class content, so your shop pages get the same scanning and fixing as everything else, including Product and Review schema.
Yes. Multilingual setups are supported and content language is detected automatically, so fixes are written in the right language for each page rather than defaulting to your admin language. There’s also a dedicated hreflang check covering eight distinct faults.
No. Every connection is optional and the scanner works fully without any of them: 43 of the 46 checks need no external key at all. Connecting Search Console and Analytics adds real search and visitor data to some features, and it’s a one-click sign-in with no Google Cloud setup required. Add it later, or never.
