Why import

Plenty of people arrive here holding a SEMrush or Ahrefs audit they’ve already paid for, or a PDF an agency delivered. Working from two lists in two places is how things get missed.

Importing puts those findings alongside your scan results, in the same severity ordering and the same workflow.

What you can import

• CSV exports from the common audit tools — SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and similar
• PDF audits, including agency reports that were never machine-readable to begin with

For PDFs the plugin reads the document and extracts the findings it can identify. It’s genuinely useful on a structured report and less so on a heavily designed one — you’ll see what it found before anything is added.

How it works

1. Go to Tools → Import and upload the file.
2. The plugin parses it and shows you what it identified, mapped onto its own issue categories.
3. Review that list. Deselect anything you don’t want, then confirm.

Nothing is added without that confirmation step. Import is a read-and-propose operation, exactly like a fix preview.

What happens to imported issues

They appear in the Issues list marked with their source, so you always know what came from a scan and what came from elsewhere.

Where an imported finding matches a check the plugin runs itself — a missing meta description, say — it’s merged rather than duplicated, and it becomes fixable with the normal preview-approve-apply cycle.

Findings with no equivalent check stay as advisory items you can tick off manually.

What it can’t do

Two honest limits:

• An imported issue is a snapshot. It reflects the site as it was when that audit ran. A fresh scan is always more current.
• PDF extraction is best-effort. A report built as flowing prose with no consistent structure won’t parse cleanly, and the plugin will tell you it found little rather than inventing entries.
